About the classes
For the first time at Millstone, Alice Wright, the owner and Head Pastry Chef will be stepping out of the kitchen to teach everything she adores about patisserie.
"Pastry Basics" will be a hands-on workshop involving a maximum of 12 people, which ensures you will be involved in all aspects of the class. You will work in small groups, and the focus will be on learning the art of basic dough - such as sweet shortcrust and puff pastry - fillings and cremes, and a NO-FAIL sponge cake that will inspire and enable you to cook all of this at home.
Classes will begin at 5.30pm and run for 2.5 hours, and include a glass of wine and a grazing cheese platter. Additional wine may also be purchased on the night.
